I’m hoping that you enjoyed Part I of the Saga. This is Part II and so much deeper and my favorite is in this section so let me know which one is you favorite at the end! Part II is divided into two subsections, Betrayal, and Love again. I know that you’ll fall in love with these!
Index 2:
- Betrayal-these four poems were written during one of the lowest points in my life. All of them have to deal with trying to be upset or blame that person you love, but in the end realizing that you cannot. During the scripting of these I had hit a speed bump in my friendship with Danielle–and for those of you who know, that was pretty bad, but we’re good now!– and it all occurred over this guy Sampson. And if you don’t know about that click here and here and it’ll all make sense. But to clarify, these are not directed AT either Danielle or Sampson, but are a soul searching quest of myself to try to figure out what I was doing and how to fix it.
Forsaken
Such a Lie **if you have not read The Tears I’ll Never Cry, the allusion may not add up. Make sure to read that one before this.**
Pain
Broken Words
Essence
Amor ou Revanche
Actually this is a kind of religious type one– it was written as a follow up to my stage play entitled the same–religion isn’t the point here the point is to question if Love truly conquers all…even the sweets of Revenge.
Ese Chico
Ese Chico…where to start, this is just fluke I now realize it after about five months now in retrospect. But this poem is shallow and speaks simply of admiration and beauty. It is completely in Spanish as well.
Moriré
Also completamente in Spanish, Moriré is geared towards not relationship love, but friendship love and being proud to be friends with your confidants and those who have been there for you and supported you.
No Quiero Ser Yo / I Don’t Want to be Me
The happy trend had to end somewhere, but it doesn’t come to a screeching halt. Inspired by “Born This Way” by the fabulous Lady Gaga, No Quiero Ser Yo refers in an inverse manner that I am who I am, (and you are who you are,) and that sometimes challenges are had that make you really not want to be who you are,so it is a message to say that don’t be afraid to be you. Lucky for you only-English-speakers that this one has my Original Spanish version and a modified English translation that I did.
Smile
Smile is another one written about Sampson, it runs like a ballad but in truth its true meaning is hope and clinging to the possibility that maybe love can exist in a bad relationship and in a one-way thing.
Tomorrow
Learning the ills, ups, downs, and all-arounds of love, “Tomorrow” is an outcry to say hopefully tomorrow will be different and better. It is not allegorical, but a utopian-ized thought however with the knowledge that things won’t just up and change by themselves spontaneously. This one two is derived from the situation with Sampson.
No Ice
I absolutely love this poem! “No Ice” presents dramatic symbolism and metaphor in order to tell you that YOU are in control of your life and you have the power to change anything if you are truly willing to do it.
Forever and Tonight
Giving up never ever seems right, and sometimes people just don’t get where you’re coming from, and that is what this is derived. Being a loving, friendly, person and making unforgivable mistakes and having to pay for every single one of them forever and eternity.
Silver Bracelet
Now THIS is my favorite poem. Yet again it is about Sampson and this holds in 4 stanzas not my entire emotions but it’s pretty damn close to how I felt–or rather feel– about him. Trust me you’ll love it.
A Poem Again
Last poem I have about Sampson, maybe not my last one but this one is la fin of being the old-me and moving on slowly, and just being honest to be real.
I promise you will love these and want to read more I hope. Like Rate comment, Share on FB and tell me your favorite one from Part I and/or Part II!
